What is LED Light Therapy?

LED (Light emitting diode) is a non-invasive skin treatment that uses LED light bulbs to emit wavelengths of light energy. This process targets deep into the skin cells for multiple skin and anti-ageing benefits. It is a painless and relaxing treatment that provides absolutely amazing results, safe for all skin types and colours. 

What is RF?

RF is a safe, aesthetic technique that uses radio frequency (RF) energy to heat skin with the purpose of stimulating cutaneous collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines and loose skin. The technique induces tissue remodelling and the production of new collagen and elastin. 
Currently, the most common uses of RF-therapy is to non-invasively manage and treat the skin tightening of loose skin as well as wrinkle & scarring reduction.  

What is EMS?

Electronic Muscle Stimulation (EMS) uses a micro-current technique to create a small pain free pulse that stimulates the muscles under the skin. This technique provides kneading and lymphatic drainage to firm & contour the muscles; resulting in revitalised skin, a visible lift, reduced sagging & enhanced elasticity. 

Red Light Therapy?

Red LED light strengthens the mitochondria in the cells, creating energy. With more energy, cells can function more efficiently, rejuvenate themselves, and repair damage. The main benefits include collagen reproduction, anti-ageing, reduction of scarring, fine lines & wrinkles.

Our specific device uses red light at 622-627nm. 

Yellow Light Therapy?

Yellow LED light triggers the lymphatic system, improving the removal of toxins & increasing dermal blood flow to the treated area. Yellow light therapy is used to treat rosacea, reduce sun damage & pigmentation.

Our specific device uses yellow light at 580-583nm. 

Blue Light Therapy?

Blue LED light therapy specifically targets acne bacteria that lives on the skin and causes acne lesions. By removing the bacteria, this treatment reduces active acne. Blue LED Light Therapy can be used to improve skin texture and reduce sebaceous hyperplasia or enlarged oil glands.

Our specific device uses blue light at 467-473nm.

Does this contain UV rays?

Absolutely not! As you can see the highest NM (nanometer) ultraviolet light can reach is 400nm. We understand the dangers of UV light & customer safety is our number one priority. Our device is registered with the Therapeutic Goods Administration of Australia (ARTG 335547) & undergoes strict product inspection by our manufacturing team.

  • UV-A light (320-400nm) is UV light with the longest wavelength, and the least harmful. It is more commonly known as "black light", and many use its ability to cause light coloured objects to emit fluorescence.
  • UV-B light (290-320nm) causes sunburns with prolonged exposure along with increasing the risk of skin cancer and other cellular damage.
  • UV-C light (100-290nm) is extremely harmful and is almost completely absorbed by Earth's atmosphere. It is commonly used as a disinfectant in food, air, and water to kill microorganisms by destroying their cells' nucleic acids.

So as you can see our LED Light Therapy device does not contain UV light & is completely safe to use on your skin!

But how...? 

LED light works by producing a biochemical effect in the skin cells. This process strengthens the mitochondria. The mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell — it’s where the cell’s energy is created. The energy-carrying molecule found in the cells of all living things is called ATP (adenosine triphosphate). 
By increasing the function of the mitochondria using LED Light a cell can make more ATP. With more energy, cells can function more efficiently, rejuvenate themselves, and repair damage. By utilising the different colours at different wavelengths the LED light will target the treated area more effectively resulting in amazing skincare benefits.

Light therapy is different from Laser or IPL therapies because it doesn’t cause damage to the skin surface. Laser and pulsed light therapies work by causing controlled damage to the outer layer of the skin, which then induces tissue repair. Light therapy bypasses this harsh step by directly stimulating regeneration of the skin. The light emitted by light therapy penetrates roughly 5 millimeters below the skin’s surface.
